today was krista's last day in the deep south. we only had until the early afternoon until she had to be at the airport, so we took a quick trip to the hodge's gardens state park a few miles north of us.
we made a ridiculous amount of sandwiches and bagged fruit and packed every sport ball we could find in the house. caitlin highly enjoyed the trip up to the park.
the food was delicious, the company was beyond enjoyable, and the time was so very well spent. this afternoon showed me why i want a huge family. i want to be always surrounded by the happy comforting faces of the people i love.
i love having the option of throwing the football, tossing a softball, walking a pretty, green pathway, or munching on food while laying on mis-matached blankets under a brilliantly beautiful sun. :)
