it's been one full week. it's gone fast.
the rivets headed home today. and the rest of us headed down to south fort to go bowling.
caitlin has gotten into a new habit or phase (not sure what to call it). we might be looking at the 'terrible twos' at 15 months old... but she does not take to the word 'no' well. she reacts very strongly when someone takes something or redirects her or tells her she can't have something. and by strongly, she flails her arms, throws her head back, or runs to the nearest piece of furniture and bangs on it, possibly bites it... and through this whole process, she is rather controlled, even while she's writhing on the floor. she still seems to have an eye on me to make sure what she's doing is being watched, or not too out of line...we usually just lay her on the floor and step over her and leave the room until she's gotten over her tirade.
the whole point to this story is to explain why the trip to the bowling alley wasn't as great as it could have been...there are a lot of places and things caitlin couldn't go or get into...she heard the word 'no' a lot. and it is something that builds on itself...there weren't enough french fries in the building to keep her occupied...
but we made it through the game, and headed home and had a lazy evening in the backyard together :)
