i spent the morning packing and preparing routes for our big trip to florida. we're heading out with only paper maps, google's suggestion on the best route, and without a functioning GPS. which really shouldn't be that bad-i know for a fact we didn't use the internet to research our family vacations before taking them...we stopped when the majority of the passengers had to pee and when something looked cool.
so you really had to put forth effort in making your sign eye catching-no one seems to do that anymore. makes 'road tripping' not quite what it used to be. one of the downsides of the internet i guess. i do miss some of the 'old school' ways that things used to run. and a lot of the things i get nostalgic about weren't even from my generation. i was usually the tail end of it and it was probably more something my parents grew up with...and now my daughter won't even know what i'm talking about...crazy how fast times change.
i feel like this blog has made me reflect waaaaayyyy too much and i feel old. hmmmm...i apologize for any upcoming content in the next blogs...not sure where this thought process is taking me.
oh, and to finish today's activities (and explain why there isn't a picture-sorry!!!!), around 1300 i went to help clean a friend's house. i finally came home around 1900 to make myself dinner-a lot of cleaning happened! and i pretty much feel asleep on my way up the stairs to bed. i never even once thought to stop and take a picture of anything. even though i was doing one of the things that 90% of the time makes me smile :)
