anyway, my happy thought today was not my daughter. she was so far from happy it was ridiculous, i'm really hopping to see 8 teeth in her mouth tomorrow morning or something to at least make me feel like today was productive for someone...
my happy thought does reside in this house, and no i'm not talking about the famous giant cockroaches that seem to come up in more posts than i expected...i'm talking about marvin. or if you're chad or matthew, it's f.u.marvin. i will say it over and over, i have the coolest cat in the world. my cat has so much personality and is such a love it's wonderful. i'm really not sure how we ended up with a cat. it was all one big blur...we wanted a puppy, but knew we didn't have the time or the space. and i really honestly don't remember pestering chad that much for a cat, i knew they weren't his favorite. i'm sure i mentioned it a couple times though. well one day after i got home from work, chad asked if i wanted to go to the pound just to look. psh. just to look. he hadn't been married to me long enough to know that wasn't possible...
after holding marvin for a few min. we put him back and felt we should look at the rest of the kittens to make a fair decision. i was sold. i actually went back to marvin's cage and took him from a group of 3 college girls that were holding him...he spent one night in his own room until he could prove he knew what the litter box was for. i'm pretty sure after that he slept curled up in chad's knee pits from that night on until we moved out of the house on kinney...
marvin is really a good cat, when he gets angry he doesn't pee on things. he doesn't claw things that aren't his. he kills all bugs. he lets caitlin pet/tackle him. i'd say we got pretty lucky :)
i felt the need to remind everyone how absolutely adorable he was when he was 1/8th the size he is now...
