well. chad has completed 17.3% of his journey. it's been 72 hours.
i'm not complaining. i was prepared for him to take two weeks to get home. i'm just grumpily stating a fact. and possibly stomping my feet like my daughter does when i take the playstation remote from her...
today just seemed to be a long day. too long to even reiterate what i did...this is all i can muster:
breakfast with 2 screaming toddlers
coffee
laundry
newborn baby
groceries
laundry
laundry
folding laundry
more newborn
side salad
vacuum
husband
clean patio
dinner with 1 toddler
and yes, the beverage and food reference were the only times i consumed anything today...i know shame on me. i didn't even realize it until i was talking to chad and my stomach growled so loudly that i was sure he could hear it in kuwait. i just didn't seem to stop at all today.
the good news is, i have all but two things on my to do list done and the two things are easily done over the next two days before chad comes home. it still doesn't seem very real. he knows when he's leaving kuwait and when he should be in ireland...just doesn't seem like he's any closer to being here. i'll get excited when he's in dallas.
today's smile was induced by a 4 cheese pizza lovingly donated by the neighbors...it's not very paleo, or even very healthy at all. but i had to do very little to make it edible - and that is all that mattered :)
