today we hunted for a christmas tree. its actually the first time in a few years all four of us were able to be there-with the one small down covered addition (caitlin).
johnny got to "wear" her as a back pack. i think the two of them had a pretty good time.
i initially got all excited for the outing when we had finally picked what day we would go, mainly for the new scenery to take pictures of...but once we got there, all i saw was snow covered trees. i was a little disappointed. all my pictures were going to look the same...green pine needles poking through white snow, just all at different angles...humph.
after i took a ridiculous number of photos of uncle johnny and his niece frolicking through the forest of christmas trees, i started to look a little bit closer to what was around me. it kind of goes back to the old saying: "you can't judge a book by it's cover". that's exactly what i did, i walked into the tree farm and saw a plain drab cover, and lost all hope for a fun camera experience. but once i took a moment to turn the pages i started seeing "fuzzy" trees, and red trees (even though i think the red ones were dead ones...), and grass blossoms, and not to mention butterflies...:)
