today was our first BEAUTIFUL fall day down here in the deep south. it was 66 degrees and perfectly sunny. i drove most of the way home from beaumont with my window down - partly to drown out the sound of crying cats.
after we all got home and had a late lunch and unpacked a bit, cate and i met up with our good friend jayme and her little girl to enjoy the rest of the day and go for a walk. we bundled up the kiddies with hats and sweatshirts (adorable, mind you) and headed out to a paved trail that runs pretty much the length of Post. we talked about life with babies, made plans to watch the second sex and the city movie, and walked until the wind made all of our noses a touch red.
being someone that LOVES warm weather, hot and sun, i wouldn't have thought i'd be looking forward so much to fall. but once we hit the woods, we agreed it smelled like fresh cut pine trees...it was so refreshing :)
Umm, why in your post today do you mention, ...cats, plural? Did you get another cat or is that a typo?
